Ramstein Antique & Craft Fair / Future Events
This past weekend was the Antique & Craft fair at the Ramstein Air Base. I had found out about it maybe two weeks prior to and called the community center right away to see if they had space available. Since my launch it was slow and I was definitely winging it lol. Every time I thought I had things figured things out, I would graduate to a new phase of oh crap, what do I do lol! It's been interesting for sure.
I called the center and was told I would get a call back. I knew I was a late registration and I wanted them to know I was serious and really wanted a spot so I called back to express that. The lady was SUPER nice and understanding. She was able fit me into all three events!
Having a goal date really made everything more intense. This was going to be my first anything in public and I was definitely freaking out. I think I was getting maybe 3-4 hours of sleep a night mostly because I was thinking of different ideas and how I wanted to set up, what I wanted to bring. The night before I set up my table as a practice to be ready for the day of. I got there early and it went GREAT! I was so amazed at how many sales I made. I kept my expectations low just incase but I was very surprised and grateful for all the attention my table got. I did a bunch of research figuring out my niche, color scheme, and when it came to selecting my products. Lots of testing. Plenty of failure but in the end I'm content. No doubt all businesses evolve over time but the support at the fair from the customers and the fellow vendors was awesome. I feel like my motivation has been reset lol. I wasn't getting any orders on Etsy and I had only gotten a couple after shifting to Shopify. I realize now I just needed some exposure.
So I just wanted to say thank you for all the purchases. Shopping small really does make a difference. My family and I appreciate each one. Honestly, it also meant so much that my family came through to show support. For my kids to see me starting something from scratch and doing well. . . words can't express how proud I am. Thanks everyone so much. If you are looking to restock below are the dates I'll be out and about but don't forget, I offer local pickup as well.
